Most notable are claims of rapid battery drain after installation ( 1, 2, 3 ) but they remain too isolated to pin as a major concern right now. ![]() There are also some questions being raised in Apple’s official Support Communities forum. Your feelings on this will no doubt vary between “I don’t care” to “They’re coming for me!” The reality either way is: we deserved a heads up. ![]() In its defence Apple did say it would release a tool this week, but didn’t mention when or how so sneaking it unmentioned into a major iOS update is a little sneaky for my liking. This tool isn’t even mentioned in the release notes but Apple confirmed its presence to me today. Instead users will find iOS 10.2 installs battery usage tracking telemetry on all your devices without asking first.
